Four from Rumi

These beautiful timeless pieces speak for themselves.

Before you speak,
let your words pass through three gates.
At the first gate, ask yourself:
Is it True?
At the second ask:
Is it necessary?
At the third gate ask:
Is it kind?

“Christian, Jew, Muslim, shaman, Zoroastrian, stone, ground, mountain, river,
each has a secret way of being with the mystery,
unique and not to be judged.”

The minute I heard my first love story
I started looking for you, not knowing
how blind I was.

Lovers don’t finally meet somewhere.
They’re in each other all along.

What was in that candle’s light
that opened and consumed me so quickly?

Come back, my friend! The form of our love
is not a created form.
Nothing can help me but that beauty.

There was a dawn I remember
when my soul heard something
from your soul. I drank water
from your spring and felt
the current take me.

The following two quote came to me about a day or so apart, I think they are totally fantastic!

“There are only two ways to live your life. One is as though nothing is a miracle. The other is as though everything is a miracle.”
~Albert Einstein

“I am realistic – I expect miracles.”

Creating My Life

Life isn’t about finding yourself. Life is about creating yourself- George Bernard Shaw, Irish playwright

If, I approach my life as an artist, (or even as an engineer) I see the artist within me searching for the medium which is best suited to speak for my heart, my soul, my life. What are the spectrum of elements I have discovered? How vast the palette available to me for me to use to create and articulate the vastness of my universe. What have I found to voice my heart and spirit? What media have I found for creativity and communication. What language? As artist, I am both  seeker of my medium, and alchemist. I seek to find the vastness of my medium. As I accumulate this abundance abounding, I am given the means to create myself.

Be a Blessing.
All the Best.
